The Prize:

This orange checkered and red bowtie comes pre-tied, and has instructions telling how to tie it, for future reference. This is the first tie from the Joshua collection, and attaches with a hook and slider adjustment.

I had originally won this in a giveaway on another blog, but my son does not seem interested at all. So rather than let it become buried in a drawer and never worn, I'd like to give it to someone else.

Handmade with Love Giveaway

Welcome to Workaday Ramblings and the Handmade with Love Winter Giveaway.

I used to make my own jewellry, and at one point even sold some online. I no longer do that, but I still have a large selection that has never found an owner. I am offering 4 prize packs: one necklace/bracelet set, one necklace/earring set, one pair of earrings, and one necklace.

The Prizes

Prize 1: Necklace and bracelet set

This necklace and bracelet set are made of mulitple strands of pastel beads on flexible wire strands. The overall look is girly and light. The necklace closes with a toggle clasp, while the bracelet has a clip clasp.

Prize 2: Necklace and earring set

This necklace and earring set are made with alternating glass hearts and multicolour tiny beads. The hearts on the necklace are frosted, while the earrings have clear glass hearts. The colours show a little dark in the picture, but they are actually a medium burgundy colour. The necklace closes with a toggle clasp, and the earrings have simple hooks.

Prize 3: One pair of earrings

These are "barbed wire" earrings. They are swirls of silver wire, covered with smaller red wire, creating a barbed wire effect. They attach with simple hooks.

Prize 4:  One necklace

This necklace is a simple pattern of green glass beads, with pink and white filler beads. It features a woven bead flower pendant. The necklace closes with a clip clasp.

Beauty product giveaway

I have never been a huge makeup person. I wear a little, mostly bronzer and mascara. I don't have the talent or desire to learn how to do crazy, elaborate looks. But I still love beauty products. Even better are free beauty products.

FunnyFace Beauty is a blog written by Alicia, a future makeup artist from Ontario. She has tons of cool looks, and tips for everyone. Right now, she is hosting an international beauty product giveaway. Below is a picture of the products available.

Giveaway: Kindred in Death (US/CAN) ends Dec 15

I have a copy of Kindred in Death by J D Robb to give away to one lucky reader.

This is the 29th book in the "In Death" series. Each book is based in a futuristic New York City and follows Lieutenant Eve Dallas, one of the city's top police officers as she works to solve a horrorific crime. The murder victim in Kindred in Death is the teenage daughter of the newly promoted captain of the NYPSD. The perpetrator builds a misleading trail of evidence using a variety of identities, and it is up to Dallas to find him and bring him to justice. Which she is determined to do.

One copy of Kindred in Death will be given away. The book is in new condition. I received it free from an anonymous person within my building, who left it in our laundry room along with many other books in a box labelled "free books".

Holiday giveaways

I love giveaways. I love people who do giveaways. I was so excited to find the Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop. I started over at Maple Leaf Mommy, and will probably need way more time than I have to visit everyone. There are 226 blogs participating in the hop! That's a lot of giveaways.

The giveaways are open until Dec 5, 11:59 pm. There are some for US, Canada and International, so everyone can find something. You should definitely go check out the list.

Book Giveaway

I love books, hence the book reviews. And I found a book giveaway for Canadians.

Well I didn't find it, Listen to Lena! had it listed. I love this blog, especially her current holiday giveaways. So many!
